Henry Kissinger, How We're Missing Ya......

Remember the old Monty Python song? Well guess what Bushies? The fat lady has sung, so to speak. Kissinger said yesterday that Iraq is not winnable and that we should begin pulling our forces out. Why do they insist on prolonging this thing, will it play out like the fall of Saigon? Will the stubborness and ineptness of this administration continue to bleed the armed forces and the treasury?

I think they probably will, sadly but truly.

According to Woodward's book and to other accounts, the administration was relying pretty heavily on Henry and his opinions. My bet is that now they will dismiss him as a senile old man because what he says doesn't go along with their line. I don't care for Kissinger at all, but I won't deny he is a brilliant person. Bush needs to listen to what the guy has to say, now more than ever.

Yeh, I thought that W and the boys talking to the Dr, was an interesting bit in Woodwards book, I think Kissinger is an absolute genious, but also a borderline warcriminal as well.

Yes, I think he could be classified as an "evil genius" or "criminal genius".

I have an interesting looking book in my "to-read" pile by Christopher Hitchens called "The Trial of Henry Kissinger", in which most of his war crimes are laid out in detail. I'll have to get busy on that one!
